Day Three in the Bay of Plenty opened at Te Papaiouru with an amazing welcome. Dame Patsy also had the opportunity to catch up with some former Pukaki Award winners, who performed with the Rotorua Girls' and Boys' High Schools cultural group.
Next up was a tour of the carving and weaving school at New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute at Te Puia, where Dame Patsy and Sir David were taken through the ins and outs of wood carving, bronze casting and flax weaving and the final event was a reception for community stakeholders, with a backdrop of the stunning Te Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley
