Dame Patsy hosted a tree planting at Government House as part of Auckland Mayor Phil Goff's Million Trees initiative. Two Pennantia baylisiana saplings were planted. Pennantia baylisiana (aka Three Kings Kaikomako) has been called the rarest tree in the world with only one example known to be growing in the wild on the Three Kings Islands.
