Mr Geoffrey Maber, of Hamilton, ONZM for services to agribusiness
Mr Geoffrey Maber has contributed to the agribusiness sector for over 50 years, and is owner, CEO and Chair of Power Farming Group (PFG). PFG has expanded from a small family business to become the largest privately-owned tractor and farm machinery business in the Southern Hemisphere, generating $600 million annually, and employing 500 people in New Zealand, Australia and North America. Power Farming led the expansion of PFG internationally in 2017, securing the rights to German tractor brand Deutz Fahr, which is sold in the United States of America. Mr Maber’s philanthropic contributions in the Waikato region have included the funding of the Alumni Sports Pavilion at Southwell School. He also erected the now iconic 6.5 metre Mega Cow sculpture in Morrinsville, as a tribute to the region’s legacy as a leading dairy producer.
