Ms Joan Rosier-Jones, of Whanganui, MNZM for services to writing and education
Ms Joan Rosier-Jones has authored 14 novels and written several plays and non-fiction books, including “So You Want To Write”. She established, organises and is patron of The Lit. Whanganui Booklovers Festival and was a director with Tangerine Publications. She was past President of the New Zealand Society of Authors, and Past President and committee member for U3A Whanganui. As a creative writing teacher, she produces course material for the New Zealand Institute for Business Studies, and she formerly curated the Diploma of Creative Writing course for the Taranaki Polytechnic. Ms Rosier-Jones organises and attends annual writers' retreats that foster emerging New Zealand authors, and is a competition judge and manuscript assessor.
