Mr Stephen Parker, of Auckland, ONZM for services to governance and the community
Mr Stephen Parker has served as Trustee, Treasurer, Deputy Chair and Chair of Visionwest, one of New Zealand’s largest community, social and healthcare organisations, and was instrumental in increasing the Trust’s annual revenue from $2.9 million to $115 million. He was Trustee and Treasurer of the Community Waitākere Charitable Trust Board and is Grants Convenor and Director of the Baptist Foundation. He facilitates the Foundation’s grant distribution process, which has seen $1.2 million granted to 135 projects in the wider Auckland and Northland regions. He is Treasurer of the Dayspring Trust Board, where he supports women experiencing postnatal depression or other mental health issues. As Chair of Howick Baptist Health, Mr Parker expanded its services supporting older people, including low-cost social housing and a Virtual Village aimed at reducing isolation and loneliness.
