Robert Renwick, Hamilton, MNZM, for services to the motor vehicle industry
Mr Robert Renwick is seen as the driving force behind collision repair technical training in New Zealand. He has spent almost three decades updating training models for the motor vehicle collision repair industry to ensure knowledge and skill bases have matched technological advances. He has been involved with the New Zealand Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair since it was introduced in 1987. He was a volunteer instructor until 2000, and commenced a re-structuring of I-CAR New Zealand’s training models from 2001. He has been involved with the New Zealand Motor Industry Training Organisation and the New Zealand Collision Repair Association. Mr Renwick has advised the insurance industry on the need for up-to-date training in collision repair and his efforts have ensured reputable repairers are well trained to effectively service modern vehicles. Mr Renwick has received various awards including the Chairman’s Award at the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair in the USA in 2005.
