For services to business and the community. Mrs Luke has developed business and organisational training programmes and has been involved with a number of community initiatives. Her work has included the establishment of Te Arahanga o Ngā Iwi, the independent Kapiti and Horowhenua Māori Economic Development Agency. She has been involved with several initiatives to develop and recognise community and business leaders, including as the founder of Te Rōpū Pakihi, the Kapiti and Horowhenua Māori Business Network. In her role as Chair of the Small to Medium Enterprise portfolio for the Māori Economic Taskforce she was instrumental in sponsoring the establishment of Kōtuitui Inc, the National Association of Māori Business Networks. Mrs Luke is a Kaiawhina for Te Wānanga of Raukawa with a particular interest in Māori economics and entrepreneurship studies.
