Marion Guy
Marion Guy, of Tauranga, received the Insignia of a Companion of the Queen's Service Order for services to nursing. Mrs Guy has been involved in nursing for more than 30 years. She is President of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation and a board member of the Bay of Plenty Health Board and the Western Bay of Plenty Primary Health Organisation. She was on the National Advisory Board for Standard of Methadone Users and instigated the first Community Nurses Network in New Zealand in Tauranga in 2000. She is involved with nursing administration at an international level as the New Zealand representative on the board of the International Council of Nurses.
