Dame Patsy attended the New Zealand School of Dance's 50th Anniversary Graduation Season at the St James Theatre in Wellington. A function before the show saw the launch of a new Foundation to provide scholarships for students suffering financial hardship. The performance itself showcased the NZSD students in a mix of classical and contemporary works from choreographers ranging from George Balanchine to Michael Parmenter. The close relationship between the NZSD and Royal New Zealand Ballet was acknowledged with a special performance of the stunning dance work "In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated" by members of the RNZB company.
