Mrs Ros Corban, of Tokoroa, KSM for services to nursing
Mrs Ros Corban (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri) held Charge Nurse roles across Tokoroa Hospital for over 30 years, ensuring continuity of care across departments. She is currently Clinical Nurse Leader at Rangiura Aged Care Home in Putararu. She provides palliative care, enabling terminally ill patients to remain in their homes. She has mentored and trained countless nurses, and supports international nurses applying to work in New Zealand. She helps discharged patients with household tasks, and provides food for former patients in hardship. Mrs Corban oversaw Rangiura Aged Care Home’s change to integrated digital software.
