Elizabeth Wilson
Elizabeth Wilson, of Dunedin, received the Insignia of a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to education. Miss Wilson is one of New Zealand’s longest-serving school principals, having been appointed Principal of Columba College in Dunedin in 1980. Under her leadership the school roll has trebled, the campus has doubled in size, and the school has undertaken major building projects to provide enhanced facilities for students. She has been committed to encouraging the enrolment of international students, and has established sister school links in Australia, Shanghai and Tokyo. Miss Wilson is pictured after the ceremony with the College's Head Girl Jasmin Alloo and Board of Trustees' chairperson Dr Margot Skinner.
