Envoys from Hungary, Estonia, Afghanistan and the Ukraine present credentials

Ambassadors from Hungary, Estonia, Afghanistan and Ukraine present credentials to Governor-General Hon AnandSatyanand at Government House on Wednesday 5 December at 11am.

Gbor Csaba is the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary.  Mr Csaba has previously been posted to Washington and before taking up his current posting was the Deputy Director-General of the department for the Americas within the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Budapest. Mr Csaba is resident in Canberra. 

Peeter  Miller is the first Estonian Ambassador to New Zealand.  He is based in Tokyo from were he is accredited to New Zealand.  Before taking up his current posting as Ambassador in Tokyo, he worked in the office of Estonias' President.  Mr Miller has also served in Moscow.

Afghanistans' new Ambassador accredited to New Zealand is Amanullah Jayhoon.  Mr Jayhoon has previously served in Malaysia, Germany, Austria and Turkey.  From 2005 until early 2007 Mr Jayhoon headed the Asia/ Pacific section at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Afghanistan.  He took up his appointment as Ambassador of Afghanistan to Australia in May 2007 and will be cross accredited to New Zealand from Canberra.

The first Ambassador of Ukraine to New Zealand is Valentyn Adomaytis. Mr Adomaitis took up his posting as Ambassador to Australia in March 2007 and will be cross accredited to New Zealand from Canberra.  Before his current appointment, Mr Adomaytis served as Ambassador of Ukraine to India.

The New Zealand Army will provide the Guard of Honour and the Maori Ceremonial Challenge.
