The Governor-General, Rt Hon Sir Anand Satyanand and Lady Susan Satyanand will visit Christchurch on Thursday 19 August.
In the morning Sir Anand and Lady Susan will attend a breakfast function at the University of Canterbury where he will launch a collection of essays in memory of the late Justice Neil Williamson. Later the Governor-General will give a lecture to a constitutional law class at the University. In the evening, Sir Anand will open an exhibition at the Robert McDougall Gallery at the Canterbury Museum.
