Governor-General visits Christchurch

The Governor-General, Rt Hon Sir Anand Satyanand and Lady Susan Satyanand will visit Christchurch on Thursday 19 August.

In the morning Sir Anand and Lady Susan will attend a breakfast function at the University of Canterbury where he will launch a collection of essays in memory of the late Justice Neil Williamson.  Later the Governor-General will give a lecture to a constitutional law class at the University.  In the evening, Sir Anand will open an exhibition at the Robert McDougall Gallery at the Canterbury Museum.

11am Sir Anand and Lady Susan attend Professor Philip Joseph’s constitutional law class at the University of Canterbury where the Governor-General gives a lecture.  For more information, contact Jeanette Colman, Communications Manager, University of Canterbury on (03) 364 2260

6.30pm Sir Anand and Lady Susan visit the Robert McDougall Gallery at the Canterbury Museum and the Governor-General officially opens The Heart of the Great Alone: Scott, Shackleton and Antarctic Photography exhibition.
