Speech given by Dame Patsy reddy at the Graham Dingle Foundation Excellence Awards in Auckland.

On 10 October, the Governor-General, The Rt Hon Dame Patsy Reddy and Sir David Gascoigne attended the centennial council of the RNZRSA at the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington.

The Governor-general, Dame Patsy Reddy officially launched the Wellington Commonwealth Walkway at a ceremony outside Government House. Government House is one of the 32 sites included in the walkway which commemorates both HM The Queen's Golden Jubilee and the 150th anniversary of the founding of Wellington.

On 1 October, the Governor-General, The Rt Hon Dame Patsy Reddy and Sir David Gascoigne attended the re-opening of the Suter Gallery in Nelson

On 1 October, the Governor-General, The Rt Hon Dame Patsy Reddy visited Whakatu Marae in Nelson, in her first visit outside Wellington since she took on the role.

On 28 September, The Rt Hon Dame Patsy Reddy, GNZM, QSO was sworn in as New Zealand's 21st Governor-General at Parliament.
